Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation in Asheville, NC seeks an experienced Project Superintendent to lead ground-up and tenant-improvement construction with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule.

You will coordinate field staff, interface with Owners and engineers, manage subcontractors, and report progress to the Project Manager. Competitive base salary, bonuses, and a vehicle allowance are offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years as a Project Superintendent overseeing ground up, new construction projects and tenant improvements.
• Proficient in Procore and/or other construction software, plus Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Interface with local jurisdiction inspectors, city and county officials.
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings.
• Manage work to conform to contract documents.
• Delegate tasks to Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and field staff.
• Investigate and resolve day-to-day field issues.
• Complete accurate job and progress reports and related documentation.
• Responsible for overall project success, including safety, profitability, schedule and quality.
• Develop schedules and determine sequencing; implement recovery strategies to maintain schedule.
• Provide daily correspondence to the Project Manager on progress and performance.
• Maintain professional relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors.
