Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking experienced Superintendents to lead ground-up commercial construction projects across Southwest Florida, including Naples, Fort Myers, and Sarasota. You will own field operations from mobilization to turnover, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to meet safety, schedule, budget, and quality goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction operations from project startup through final turnover.
• Coordinate labor, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and vendors to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
• Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications to identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues.
• Monitor project progress and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure schedule milestones are achieved.
• Inspect subcontractor work for quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
• Manage field coordination activities with utility providers, municipal agencies, vendors, and tenant representatives.
• Review and validate subcontractor daily reports, time and material tickets, and field documentation.
• Coordinate material deliveries and procurement activities to support project schedules.
• Facilitate project inspections and secure Certificates of Occupancy and project closeout documentation.
• Maintain a strong focus on site safety, quality control, and operational excellence.

Compensation: $115,000-$135,000

A leading commercial real estate development organization is seeking experienced Superintendents to oversee ground-up commercial construction projects throughout Southwest Florida. This role is responsible for managing all field operations from mobilization through project completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent will serve as the primary on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, tenants, and project teams while driving daily construction activities. Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Experience serving as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Strong background in ground-up commercial construction.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and field operations.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and jobsite management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with commercial developers, owner/developers, or large commercial general contractors.
• Tenant improvement and occupied-site construction experience.
• Knowledge of Florida commercial construction practices and permitting processes.
