Qualifications

• Five+ years of construction field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization and problem solving.
• Proficient with construction technology for daily reports and photos.
• Proficient with Google Workspace and project documentation.
• Current union membership in good standing or eligible to join before start.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and supervision of all jobsite activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics.
• Maintain the project schedule and identify potential delays.
• Conduct regular coordination meetings with subs and stakeholders.
• Enforce safety policies and keep a clean, professional jobsite.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and project requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are met.
• Complete daily reports, progress photos, safety docs, and records.
• Coordinate with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, inspectors.
• Identify field conflicts and develop timely solutions.
• Manage close out, punch lists, and turnover.
• Represent Company professionally with customers and trade partners.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Rhoads & Johnson is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects.This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the jobsite, including safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and communication with the project team.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of construction field experience, takes ownership of their work, and embodies our core values.This individual will be expected to enforce safety, cleanliness, quality, and good communication on the jobsite.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide daily leadership and supervision of all jobsite activities
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics
• Maintain the project schedule and proactively identify potential delays
• Conduct regular coordination meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, professional jobsite
• Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and project requirements
• Monitor workmanship and ensure work meets Rhoads & Johnson’s quality standards
• Complete accurate daily reports, progress photos, safety documentation, and other required project records
• Coordinate closely with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors
• Identify field conflicts and work with the project team to develop timely solutions
• Manage project close out, punchlist completion, and turnover
• Represent Rhoads & Johnson professionally with customers, trade partners, and the community

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of five years of construction field experience
• Commercial Construction experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience as superintendent, assistant superintendent, foreman, or similar field leadership role
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, safety, and quality control
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using construction technology for daily reports, photographs, drawings, and project documentation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Google Workspace
• Must be a current member in good standing of the applicable skilled trades union or be willing and eligible to join before beginning employment
