Insight Global is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for a growing construction management client in Connecticut. You will oversee commercial projects from pre-construction to closeout, manage day-to-day execution, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, maintain client relationships, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.

The role requires 5+ years leading commercial/retail/mixed-use projects, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

• Strong background in commercial, retail, mixed-use, multifamily/apartment, or renovation projects.

Responsabilidades

• Lead construction projects from initial planning through final completion.
• Manage all onsite construction activities, including demolition, MEP coordination, renovations, and new construction work.
• Serve as primary onsite representative for clients, owners, subcontractors, and vendors; develop and maintain project schedules; ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Review drawings and project documents to ensure accurate execution.
• Partner with external estimating firms during pre-construction and budgeting phases.
• Identify qualified subcontractors; proactively resolve issues and schedule conflicts.
• Monitor budgets, change orders, procurement, and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Perform punch list management and oversee closeout activities.

Our client, a growing construction management firm, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day project execution, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This is a highly autonomous role requiring someone who can successfully run projects with minimal owner involvement while serving as the primary point of contact onsite for clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from initial planning through final completion.
• Manage all onsite construction activities, including demolition, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) coordination, renovations, and new construction work.
• Serve as the primary onsite representative for clients, owners, subcontractors, and vendors. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved. Coordinate, supervise, and hold subcontractors accountable for quality, safety, and productivity. Conduct regular project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents to ensure accurate execution.
• Partner with external estimating firms during pre-construction and budgeting phases.
• Identify and recommend qualified subcontractors and trade partners when needed.
• Proactively resolve construction issues, schedule conflicts, and field challenges.
• Monitor project budgets, change orders, material procurement, and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with all local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Perform punch list management and oversee project closeout activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, Construction Manager, Project Manager, or similar role.
• Proven experience managing projects independently from start to finish.
• Strong background in commercial, retail, mixed-use, multifamily/apartment, or renovation projects. Experience coordinating MEP trades and managing demolition and construction activities.
• Ability to effectively manage clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, budgeting, and field operations. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to project sites.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience overseeing apartment complex, multifamily, retail, and commercial construction projects.
• Existing network of reliable subcontractors and trade partners.
• Familiarity with construction management software and project scheduling tools.
• Experience working within a construction management or owner-representative environment.

Compensation:

$50/hr to $60/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
