Job summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation is seeking a Construction Superintendent for an on-site role in Fairbanks, AK. The selected candidate will coordinate project plans per the SOW, schedule all construction phases, and contribute to estimating with RSMeans.

Strong communication and OSHA 30 certification are required, with preference for federal/DOD experience. Responsibilities include leading on-site teams, coordinating with subs, and preparing daily site reports alongside the Project Manager and

Responsibilities

  • On-site implementation and coordination of project plans per the SOW.
  • Schedule and execute all phases of construction.
  • Experience with estimating including RSMeans.
  • Attend regular tailgate meetings and daily project health discussions.
  • Prepare daily reports with Project Manager, Site Safety & Health Officer and QCM.
  • Review and process project submittals.
  • Lead on-site meetings with staff; coordinate with subs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Enter the fundamental job duties of the position. ADA Required
  • On-site implementation and coordination of the project plans per the SOW
  • Schedule and execute all phases of construction
  • Estimating experience including RSMeans
  • Attendance at regular internal and external tailgates meetings including daily discussions on project health and safety
  • Preparation of daily reports with Project Manager, Site Safety & Health Officer and QCM
  • Review and processing of project submittals
  • Active role in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with all on site staff
  • Coordination with on-site subs
  • Other duties as assigned
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
  • Education Requirements: High School Degree or equivalent
  • Level of Experience Requirements: A minimum of 3 years in Construction with a preference for Federal/DOD work
  • OSHA 30 Training

Preferred
  • Federal government or DOD experience in construction

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
