Job summary

Trillium Construction is looking for an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee Big Box retail and light industrial construction projects across the United States. The role requires managing all on-site activities, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.

You will travel nationwide for project assignments, lead field operations, coordinate trades, and drive production while upholding safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial construction projects.
• Experience leading Big Box retail construction projects.
• Experience with light industrial construction.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain aggressive project schedules.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, OSHA regulations, and quality control practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, or MS Office Suite preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily field operations from project kickoff through completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules while driving production to meet milestones.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety standards.
• Conduct daily site meetings and coordinate work between multiple trades.
• Monitor quality control and ensure all work meets project specifications.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals.
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize project delays.
• Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates.
• Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.
• Maintain strong communication with Project Managers, clients, architects, and subcontractors.

Our client is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee Big Box retail and light industrial construction projects across the United States. This individual will be responsible for managing all on‑site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading large‑scale retail and light industrial projects, excels in fast‑paced environments, and is comfortable traveling nationwide for project assignments.

Travel Requirements

• Must be willing to travel nationwide for project assignments.
• Ability to work extended hours as required by project schedules.
• Overnight travel is required.
