Job summary

Consulting Solutions is seeking a QA Oversight professional to support our client’s QA organization across contractor and project quality systems, with audits for solar and BESS projects at multiple locations including Charlotte, NC.

The role involves reporting, metrics, weekly site walks, and development of QA procedures, with a hybrid work model at various locations.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide QA oversight on large utility-scale new construction projects.
• Experience with renewable generation projects (Solar, BESS, hydro).
• Quality management experience and familiarity with QA tools.
• Auditing experience and knowledge of industry codes and standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills (Lean Six Sigma, root cause analysis, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform QA inspections, surveillance, and audits at construction sites.
• Review contractor Quality Programs for adequacy and applicability.
• Prepare detailed QA/QC reports and weekly site walks.
• Support development of QA procedures and site-specific quality plans.
• Monitor nonconformances and manage corrective actions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across locations (Plainfield, Charlotte, Greenville, Orlando).

Job description

To support our client’s QA organization by QA oversight and leading/executing audits across contractor and project quality systems. In addition to supporting the facility construction’s QA group in metrics, tracking, reporting and other QA deliverables. Our client has needs in multiple locations (Plainfield, IN, Charlotte, NC, Greenville, SC and Orlando, Florida)

Job Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of experience
• Provide QA oversight of facility construction’s Renewable (Solar, BESS) Projects as directed.
• Verifies equipment suppliers, contractors, vendors, etc., are performing work in accordance with our client Quality Assurance Program, industry standards, codes and contractual requirements and specifications. This work is accomplished by performing inspections, surveillance / audits, document reviews and ongoing monitoring at our client construction site.
• Lead/performs auditing services and assessments of equipment suppliers, contractors, vendors, etc., quality programs including manufacturing, shop fabrication, field fabrication and construction activities. In addition, may provide auditing of internal facility construction processes.
• Supports the development of Quality Assurance procedures and documents to support the Quality Assurance Program.
• Responsible for providing input for the continued development of our client’s Quality Assurance Programs.
• Writes detailed reports of inspections, surveillances and audits performed at supplier facilities and construction sites.
• Reviews suppliers, contractors, vendors, etc., Quality Programs for adequacy, completeness, and applicability to quality work to be performed.
• Performs weekly site walks with the Contractor.
• Completes weekly reports detailing QA/QC updates per the approved plan.
• Performs periodic monitoring of the Contractor’s in-process work to verify compliance.
• Manages the nonconformance process for the project.
• Completes Quality observations as required by the approved site-specific quality plan.
• Supports the project in accordance with the approved site-specific quality plan and owner requirements.
• Reviews and comments on ITPs, Contractor submitted Quality documents, and other documents as requested.
• Performs weekly, bi-weekly, and as-needed site visits to provide QA support.

Required Experience

• Ability to provide QA oversight on large utility-scale new construction projects.
• Experience with new generation renewable (Solar, BESS, hydro)
• Quality management experience (quality tools)
• Auditing experience
• Knowledge of relevant industry Codes and Standards
• Problem Solving (Lean six sigma, casual analysis, etc.)

Preferred Experience

• Working experience with Procore.
• Working experience with SharePoint.
• Proficient working experience with Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Logistics:

• W2 Contract
• At least 12 months with a strong possibility of extension (these are long-term needs for our client)
• Hourly rate based upon experience and overall expertise
• Hybrid work at all locations (Indiana, North and South Carolina, and Florida)
