Job summary

Job description

Ancora Engineering + Architecture is an engineering firm based in the New York City metropolitan area specializing in design and consulting services for the construction industry. Our expertise includes demolition and partial demolition, alterations, geotechnical investigations and geo-structural work, excavation and foundation systems, new building structural design, structural stability assessments and remediation, legal and expert witness services, owner’s technical representation, quality control, special inspections, and more.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an ICC Special Inspector at Ancora Engineering + Architecture. The Special Inspector will be responsible for:

• Performing inspections, testing, and evaluations on construction projects
• Ensuring compliance with NYC building codes, regulations, and project specifications
• Conducting site visits and documenting findings
• Reviewing construction plans and technical documents
• Preparing clear, accurate inspection reports
• Communicating effectively with project stakeholders in a timely manner

• ICC Special Inspector certifications required
• Strong knowledge of NYC building codes and regulations
