As a Special Inspections Technician (SIT I), you will work under the supervision of a registered professional engineer. Your role involves supporting site inspections and sampling services, contributing to quality assurance for construction projects of various sizes. Responsibilities include collecting materials for testing, monitoring contractor activities, and preparing detailed daily reports for project engineers.
New technicians must obtain the Special Inspector General Requirements Certification and additional certifications within specified timeframes, including reinforced concrete, masonry, and soils inspections.
