Job summary

Ardaman & Associates, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, is hiring a Construction Soils Lab Technician to join its soils and concrete testing laboratory.

This full-time position performs basic lab testing (organic content, grain size, compaction, permeability, processing of material and compression testing of concrete specimens) and may include occasional field sampling. Florida DOT CTQP and ACI laboratory certifications are preferred but not required; pay rate depends on experience. Training provided.

Qualifications

• FDOT/CTQP/ACI laboratory testing certifications preferred
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use spreadsheets
• Occasionally work weekends and extended hours, as needed
• Excellent driving record within company standards
• Must pass background screening including criminal history, motor vehicle check, drug testing

Responsibilities

CONSTRUCTION SOILS LAB TECHNICIAN

Full-time opportunity working in a soils and concrete testing laboratory in Orlando, Florida. Performs basic laboratory testing including but not limited to organic content, grain size analysis, compaction, permeability testing, processing of material, and compression testing of concrete specimens. Position may also require occasional field sampling/testing on an as-needed basis. Florida DOT CTQP and ACI laboratory certifications preferred but not required to apply. (Certifications will be required if hired in order to perform the work.) Training provided. 2+ years' experience preferred but not required. Pay rate depends on experience and certifications.
