RQC, LLC seeks an experienced Site Safety Officer (SSHO) to support military construction projects in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The SSHO leads safety programs and coordinates with project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to maintain a safe, compliant jobsite.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction and safety at the jobsite level, with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA knowledge; bilingual Spanish/English; full-time onsite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• 5+ years of construction safety at the jobsite level.
• Experience with NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, or federal construction projects preferred.
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations.
• Safety training averaging 24 hours annually over the past 5 years.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; RMS/QCS/Viewpoint familiarity.
• Bilingual Spanish and English required.

Construction Site Safety Officer (SSHO)

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Officer (SSHO) to support military construction projects in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico . This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with experience in commercial construction, federal projects, NAVFAC, USACE, DoD construction, EM 385-1-1 compliance, and OSHA regulations.

The SSHO serves as the onsite safety leader and is responsible for implementing and enforcing project safety programs. This role works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to maintain a safe, compliant, and productive jobsite. This is a full-time, onsite position. Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 annually (DOE)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience
• 5+ years of construction safety experience at the jobsite level
• Experience with NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, or federal construction projects preferred
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations
• Competent Person training and/or experience in fall protection, excavation/trenching, confined spaces, electrical safety, scaffolding, and PPE
• Documented safety training averaging 24 hours annually over the past 5 years
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with RMS, QCS, or Viewpoint preferred
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required

Required Certifications

• OSHA 30-Hour (within the last 5 years)
• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
