Job summary

Middlesex co is seeking a Site Safety Manager to promote and enforce the corporate HSE program and provide safety support to construction operations in the Boston area. The role requires collaboration with field teams to maintain a safe work environment and independent judgment on safety issues.

Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, audits, and training sessions, with travel within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field required or strongly preferred.
• 3–7 years of field safety experience in heavy civil construction, transportation or related field.
• OSHA regulations knowledge; CHST preferred; MOT experience preferred; OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce corporate HSE policies and safety first culture.
• Assist HSE Department in managing safety program including incidents, audits, trainings, and recordkeeping.
• Conduct field safety inspections, incident investigations (root cause analysis), and safety audits on active construction projects.
• Prepare daily and weekly safety activity reports for management.
• Conduct safety orientations and training for groups of varying sizes.
• Travel within the region as required.
