Job summary

AIS Infrastructure is seeking a Site Safety Manager to safeguard personnel on construction and industrial projects. This role enforces safety standards and oversees program implementation across sites, with a focus on compliance, training, and incident investigation.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in site safety for large projects, OSHA/EPA knowledge, and the ability to obtain security clearance for access to secured facilities. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in safety programs and site safety management for large construction projects.
• Experience with vertical construction in initial Laredo phases; later heavy civil horizontal construction experience.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other safety regulations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for secured facilities (military bases).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees, contractors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and risks in the workplace.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure safety measures are integrated into project plans and activities.
• Provide safety training and orientation to employees and contractors, emphasizing safe work practices and proper PPE.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss situations; prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
