Job summary

B&S Site Development is hiring a Safety Coordinator in the Manassas, VA area. You will implement and monitor safety protocols across multiple construction sites to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

This role focuses on inspections, incident reporting, and safety training, with opportunities for career growth in a fast-paced environment within the site development sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in safety/health roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety preferred.
• OSHA 510 preferred; OSHA 30 Construction required.
• Experience with site development/construction safety.
• Ability to identify hazards and promote safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety inspections and weekly site audits to identify hazards and violations.
• Be present for daily morning and mid-day crew huddles to reinforce safety.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety guidelines and policies.
• Support incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions.
• Organize and deliver safety training on hazard recognition and PPE usage.
• Maintain up-to-date safety meeting logs, training records, and audits.
• Complete administrative duties related to safety programs and audits.
• Support safety culture through meetings, near-miss program, and toolbox talks.
• Ensure proper use and availability of PPE on-site.
