Job summary

Hoar in Texas is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in coordinating and scheduling construction crews, ensuring work meets plans and specs, and assisting with safety inspections. This role may travel up to 100% of the time to sites.

You will read construction documents, monitor progress, prepare reports, manage crews, and maintain relationships with customers and subcontractors to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; willingness to obtain additional credentials as needed.
• 2–5 years in construction or college construction graduate experience required.
• Basic knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring project schedule and budget with the superintendent.
• Coordinate daily operational objectives, timelines, and goals.
• Inspect work, equipment, and sites to verify safety and compliance with specs.
• Read construction documents to determine requirements and procedures.
• Maintain reports on personnel, production, and project logs.
• Support coordination of workforce and communicate goals to crew members.
