Job summary

Fluor is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager IV to lead field execution for large-scale EPC Data Center projects across multiple U.S. locations. This role oversees site construction, safety, and coordination with engineering and procurement teams.

Requirements include a 4-year engineering/construction degree and 10 years of construction leadership on industrial or EPC projects. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Accredited four (4) year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, or global equivalent.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of construction experience, including significant leadership responsibilities on industrial, commercial, mission-critical, or EPC construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction execution, project controls, safety management, quality assurance, and workforce planning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executives, clients, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all site construction activities to achieve project safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.

  • Ensure construction activities are performed in accordance with project specifications, construction drawings, company procedures, and client requirements.

  • Manage field changes, issue resolution, and risk mitigation activities to minimize schedule and budget impacts.
  • Oversee installation and completion of mission-critical systems, including power distribution, generators, UPS systems, electrical infrastructure, cooling systems, controls, and telecommunications systems.
  • Support commissioning, integrated systems testing, turnover, and client acceptance activities.
  • Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, suppliers, contractors, and project leadership regarding site execution matters.
  • Prepare and review construction progress reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Job Description

Fluor is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager IV to lead field execution activities for large-scale Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Data Center projects. This position is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and execution of site construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.

The Construction Site Manager IV provides leadership to construction supervision, subcontractors, craft personnel, and project teams throughout all phases of project execution. The role requires strong expertise in managing complex construction operations involving civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and mission-critical infrastructure systems that support data center development.

This position supports Fluor's Data Center Business with in The ATLS (Advance Technology and Life Sciences) BU with opportunities to support EPC Data Center projects at various locations throughout the United States. Travel, temporary assignment, or relocation to project sites may be required based on business and project needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience leading EPC Data Center, mission-critical, hyperscale, semiconductor, advanced technology, or other large capital construction projects.
  • Experience managing installation and startup of critical electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of commissioning, integrated systems testing, and project turnover processes.
  • Experience with Lean Construction, Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar industry certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, construction management software, and project controls systems.
  • Ability to read, write, or speak multiple languages is a plus.
Work Location

Primary alignment is with Fluor'sEPC Data Center projects and pursuits across multiple U.S. locations. Work assignments may be site-based, office-based, or a combination of both depending on project execution requirements and business needs.
