Job summary

Per Sé Group seeks an on-site construction lead for a utility-scale renewable energy project. You will manage day-to-day operations, coordinate with the CPM, EPC contractor, OEMs, suppliers, and your site team to keep execution aligned with the project plan.

You will oversee safety, quality, schedule, productivity, logistics, and environmental compliance, and address procurement or damage issues that could affect the schedule. This role includes four-week rotations and travel under policy.

Qualifications

Job description

Plans change. Deliveries get delayed. Crews run into problems. Something doesn’t match the drawing. A contractor falls behind.

You’re the person on site who sees those problems first and gets the right people together to solve them before they turn into bigger project issues.

What you’ll do

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day construction environment on a utility-scale renewable energy project. You’ll work closely with the CPM, EPC contractor, OEMs, suppliers, engineering, and your site team to keep execution aligned with the project plan.

• Lead and coordinate the onsite team, contractors, suppliers, and visitors.
• Keep a daily eye on safety, quality, schedule, productivity, logistics, and environmental compliance.
• Review the construction sequence and upcoming work so the site has the people, materials, equipment, and access it needs.
• Evaluate contractor performance and address issues affecting project goals.
• Review EPC agreements, IFC drawings, permits, and execution plans with the site team.
• Track equipment and material deliveries and address procurement or damage issues that could affect the schedule.
• Lead site meetings, communicate progress and problems, and document decisions, resolutions, and lessons learned.

The role pays $60-$70/hr, with $160/day per diem available under project rules for qualifying travelers. A truck and laptop are provided, along with a $50/month cell phone allowance. Qualifying project-based assignments can include four-week rotations and travel reimbursement under company’s policy.

Who you are

You know how construction actually gets built. You’ve got at least 3 years of construction management experience, including 3–5 years with utility-scale solar or wind projects, and you’ve worked with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary field teams.

You can read drawings and contracts, understand construction sequencing, and make decisions when the field doesn’t go exactly according to plan. You’re comfortable leading people, challenging problems, and keeping everyone focused on the project goal without taking over the EPC’s means and methods.
