Job summary

Sordan Construction in the Greater Boston Area seeks a Construction Site Supervisor/Project Manager to oversee daily operations on active sites, ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, manage site logistics, and serve as the liaison between field crews and management while advancing project goals and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and plans
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proven problem solving and decision making capabilities
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and field crews
• Knowledge of construction processes, equipment and safety standards
• Relevant certifications or licenses preferred

Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: supervise daily site activities per plans, schedules, and specs
• Team Leadership: direct subcontractors, laborers, and on-site personnel
• Safety Management: enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections
• Quality Control: monitor workmanship to meet standards and regulations
• Scheduling & Coordination: align with Project Manager and stakeholders on timelines
• Resource Management: manage materials and equipment to avoid delays
• Problem Solving: address on-site issues promptly while keeping projects on track
• Documentation: maintain logs, reports, and incident records
• Client Communication: provide regular updates to clients and address needs
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure codes and environmental regulations are followed
• Hands-On Work: assist with construction tasks as needed
