Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and supervise sub-contractors and craft teams within a construction discipline. The role involves oversight of labor, safety, certifications, schedules, and quality control on site.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in a related field, at least 3 years of construction management experience, and a valid driver's license. Travel up to 100% may be required depending on project locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architecture, or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years construction management or related experience.
• Current driver’s license.
• Interest in Master/Journeyman/Apprentice electrician programs preferred.
• Electrical circuitry qualification or potential to qualify by Mortenson Electrical Managers.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors and craft teams on site.
• Monitor weekly labor reports and address issues.
• Review and approve craft worker certifications and trainings.
• Assist with safety meetings and site orientation.
• Coordinate timecard reviews and approvals.
• Assist with hire/dismissal of craft workers.
• Manage on-site Scope of Work, equipment, and schedule.
• Support project managers with schedule development and updates.
• Coordinate with equipment providers for project needs.
• Review quantity takeoffs and materials during buyout.
• Oversee Plan of Day activities and production boards.
• Support quality control for self-perform and subcontractors.
• Provide training and performance evaluations for craft workers.
