Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and supervise subcontractors and craft teams within a specific construction discipline. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, and on-site operations to keep projects on track.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in a construction-related field, 3+ years in construction management, and a willingness to travel up to 100%. Mortenson offers a competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years construction management or related experience.
• Current driver's license.
• Completion of or interest in Master, Journeyman, or Apprentice electrician program preferred.
• Electrical circuitry qualification or willingness to be qualified by Mortenson Electrical Managers.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and closeout responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise craft labor and subcontractors on site.
• Review weekly labor reports and address issues.
• Approve craft worker certifications and trainings.
• Participate in site orientation and safety meetings.
• Coordinate review/approval of craft worker timecards.
• Support schedule development and updates with Project Managers.
• Coordinate equipment and outside providers for site needs (cranes, trailers, etc.).
• Review quantity takeoffs and materials management during buyout.
• Oversee plan of day (POD) activities and production boards.
• Assist Safety Manager with site safety audits and observations.
• Ensure quality control of self-perform and subcontractor work.
