Job summary

Wal-Rose is seeking a dependable General Laborer to support our construction team in Sanford, FL. You will perform a variety of physical tasks, assist with site preparation, material handling, and basic operation of tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have physical stamina for demanding tasks.
• Must follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Ability to work as part of a team to meet construction deadlines.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks such as digging, shoveling, raking, sweeping, and site cleanup.
• Use hand tools and small equipment including hammering pins, tampers, jumping jacks, and concrete chop saw.
• Set up, inspect, and compact granular base materials to meet construction specifications.
• Assist in the placement of construction materials manually or with the use of equipment.
• Raise and lower catch basins, manholes, and water valves as required.
• Remove rubble, debris, and other waste materials from construction sites.
• Follow safety procedures and company protocols at all times.
• Assist skilled tradespeople as needed.
