Construction Site Field Inspector (Rail Transit & NYCT)
We are seeking experienced Construction Site Field Inspectors to join our team of professionals to provide safety oversight on various rail transit projects, including commuter railroads, subways / rapid transit systems, and light-rail systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform construction inspections on rail transit projects, including stations, facilities, shops, yards, signal systems, communication systems, power systems, bridges and viaducts, tunnels, track systems, drainage, structural elements, fare payment systems, vertical transportation systems, security systems, and associated work.
- Monitor contractors' daily activities and perform required field inspections and testing using applicable field testing and inspection procedures and equipment.
- Prepare daily field inspection reports, including communicating deficiencies observed in the field to Project Managers, Resident Engineers, contractors, and/or client representatives.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and other construction documents, including work orders and build documents.
- Follow and enforce Company and project safety and quality management protocols.
- Perform all related duties as required to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety oversight.
- Valid certifications in Board of Certified Safety Professionals Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST), NYC 62-Hour Site Safety Training (SST), and NYC 4-hour supported scaffold user.
- Strong knowledge of safety and health rules and regulations for construction sites.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including workers, supervisors, and management.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

SCHEDULE:
- 8-hour shift.
- Monday to Friday.
- Weekend availability.
