Job summary

Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, digging trenches, operating basic tools, and ensuring adherence to plans and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in construction is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather.
• Knowledge of construction tools, materials and safety practices.
• Able to follow instructions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Prepare and clean construction sites before, during, and after projects
• Assist carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled workers as needed
• Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials
• Remove debris and hazardous materials from work areas
• Follow project plans, instructions, and safety procedures
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
• Report safety hazards, equipment issues, and project concerns to supervisors
