Responsibilities

• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards
• Assist with surface preparation for paving, foundations, and other construction activities
• Control traffic near work zones
• Signal equipment operators to coordinate movement of machinery
• Dig ditches or trenches and backfill as required
• Load, unload, and distribute materials and tools
• Erect or dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures
• Position forms for pouring concrete and ensure safety procedures
