Job summary

Carolina Civil LLC is hiring a General Laborer to join our civil construction team on various site projects. This role involves physically demanding work on development sites and the ability to contribute to a safe, efficient work environment.

You will assist with land preparation, utilities installation support, and material handling across multiple site locations. Candidates should be prepared to work in diverse weather conditions and follow all safety protocols on the job site.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the workday.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach different job sites.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from site supervisors and heavy equipment operators.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site clearing, grading, and excavation activities to prepare land for development.
• Support the installation of underground utilities such as water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
• Operate basic hand and power tools, including shovels, rakes, jackhammers, and saws, while maintaining a clean and organized job site.
• Load and unload construction materials, equipment, and supplies from trucks and trailers.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as trenching, backfilling, and compacting soil or gravel.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
