Construction Sheet Metal Installer/Retrofit

Location: Phoenix, AZ, USA

Compensation: $22.00 - $30.00/hour

Job Description

Sheet Metal Installer at Sunstate Mechanical Services

Shift: 8am-4:30pm (Hours vary based on job site)

Location: Job sites are throughout the Phoenix Valley area

Requirements:

• You must be 18 years old.
• You must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• You must pass a drug test.
• You must pass a motor vehicle history check.
• For safety reasons, you must speak English.
• You must have your own toolkit.
• A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check are required.
• You must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Job Duties:

The role involves technical work and customer service, mainly:

• Fabricating and assembling metal structures based on blueprints and specifications.
• Operating tools and machinery such as forklifts, cleat formers, bar folders, shears, roll formers, band saws, rotary machines, flangers, notchers, welders, etc.
• Having a basic understanding of HVAC components that need to be built.
• Installing, altering, fabricating, and repairing sheet metal products, equipment ducts, and hoods for HVAC systems.
• Performing stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal components.
• Teaching apprentices.
• Performing additional duties as required.
