Job summary

Bollig Engineering is seeking a Construction Services Representative to join our team serving municipal infrastructure projects across Southeast Minnesota.

This role involves field observation, coordinating with city personnel, residents and contractors, and ensuring contract compliance.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D for viewing/editing drawings and Bluebeam Revu for PDFs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide construction observation and oversight of municipal infrastructure project activities to ensure compliance with plans, specs and contract documents.
  • Conduct extensive onsite observation of installation activities, materials, equipment, testing and inspections across all project phases.
  • Serve as primary communication link between contractors, Bollig staff, city personnel, residents and stakeholders to coordinate decisions and minimize disturbances.
  • Build and maintain strong, team-centered relationships with contractors to ensure a high-quality project experience for Bollig clients.
  • Prepare and maintain construction records and distribute to appropriate parties for review.
  • Attend client and progress meetings and represent Bollig professionally in all settings.
  • Assist with field data collection to support planning and design activities.
  • Support staff with client relationships and meeting project deliverables.
  • Meet project deadlines and adhere to budgets and schedules.
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications and attend industry training as necessary.

We are currently seeking a Construction Services Representative to join our construction services team on municipal infrastructure projects across Southeast Minnesota, serving as an integral part of a team-centered environment and sharing our passion for the development of rural communities consistent with Bollig's purpose and values.

Construction Services Representative — Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as Resident Project Representative, providing construction observation and general oversight of municipal infrastructure project activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications and contract documents.
  • Conduct extensive onsite observation to monitor installation activities, materials, equipment, testing and inspections throughout all phases of project construction.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between construction contractors, Bollig project staff, city personnel, residents and all project stakeholders to carefully coordinate decisions and planned work, limit conflicts and minimize community disturbances.
  • Build and maintain positive, team-centered relationships with construction contractors to ensure delivery of an exceptional project experience for Bollig clients.
  • Prepare and maintain all required construction records and documentation and distribute to appropriate parties for review.
  • Attend regular client and construction progress meetings and represent Bollig professionally in all project settings.
  • Assist with field data collection to support project planning and design activities.
  • Support Bollig staff with building and maintaining client relationships and meeting promised project deliverables.
  • Meet project deadlines and adhere to established budgets and schedules.
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications and attend industry training as necessary.
Construction Services Representative — Qualifications Required

  • Flexibility to work across multiple project locations with occasional overnight travel as required.
  • Foundational proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D for viewing and editing construction drawings, and PDF editing software such as Bluebeam Revu.
  • Interest in or passion for rural infrastructure and small-community challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning with an entrepreneurial can-do approach.
