Overview

Bollig Engineering is a growing firm currently located in Willmar, Sartell, and Two Harbors, Minnesota but looking to open additional locations. Bollig Engineering has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an associate with a diverse skill set, a strong desire to be an integral part of a growing aviation team, and a passion for the development of rural communities that is consistent with Bollig’s purpose and values.

Responsibilities
  • Become an integral part of the Bollig Aviation Team to help progress client projects from planning to completion.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers in the planning, design, and execution of all aspects of airport projects.
  • Provide support to meet the requirements of appropriate agencies including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and MnDOT Aeronautics.
  • Assist with initial project scoping and collecting field data to identify client needs.
  • Assist with report preparation and drawings for Master Plans, Airport Layout Plan sets, and aviation construction projects such as hangars, runways, taxiways, aprons, etc.
  • Provide support to internal and external Bollig project stakeholders where needed.
  • Assist Bollig staff with building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Assist with other municipal civil projects, on occasion.
  • Maintain/obtain required certifications and attend training as necessary.
Skills and Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Strong academic performance and a passion for civil engineering
  • Eagerness to learn on the job and develop expertise in aviation-related projects
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively at different organization levels and work collaboratively in a team-setting
  • Self-motivated, coachable, determined, and persistent
  • Aptitude to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the capacity to quickly adapt as necessary.
  • Ability to provide a positive project experience for clients and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with engineering software and tools
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 depending on years of experience and credentials
