Construction Services Department Manager – Construction Materials Testing - Tampa, Florida

The Construction Services Department Manager will oversee CMT and civil engineering projects, mentor staff, and support business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage profit centers, including planning, growth, profitability, cost control, employee development, quality, and client relations.
• Engage in business development and collections.
• Lead teams to ensure quality, safety, and productivity.
• Provide training and enforce company policies.
• Oversee quality programs and accreditation.
• Handle recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and monitor departmental goals.
• Perform project management duties.
• Adhere to safety practices to ensure workplace safety.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 5+ years of leadership or project management experience in CMT or Geotechnical fields.
• Completion of internal PMCP within 6 months.
• Experience in personnel management, hiring, and training.
• Strong computer skills.
• Customer-focused and quality-driven.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel up to 15%.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Staff management and P&L experience.
• Experience with multi-sector projects.
• Florida P.E. License.
• CMT certifications.
• Basic accounting and sales/marketing experience.
