Job summary

White Construction is seeking a senior level professional to oversee contract administration, cost and schedule management for complex projects. Under a Vice President or Project Executive, you will ensure financial controls, scheduling integrity, and safety adherence across healthcare, corporate, retail and high-end residential builds in the Austin area.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of construction leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in similar construction project types.

Responsibilities

• Contract Administration - understand owner contract requirements including insurance, bonds, fees, notifications, schedules, reporting, and costs.
• Cost Management - analyze financial reports, status reports, labor, and other job-related reports to control costs and maximize profitability.
• Schedule Management - develop, update and communicate the project schedule; assist field in management of the schedule.
• Quality Management - contribute to the Project Quality Management Plan and ensure adherence to contract documents.
• Safety Management - participate in weekly safety meetings and promote safe work practices.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a Vice President or Project Executive, your roles and responsibilities would encompass the following:

• Contract Administration - Has a sound knowledge of the requirements of owner’s contract, including insurance, bonds, fees, notifications, schedules, reporting, and costs.
• Cost Management - Demonstrates the ability to understand and analyze financial reports, status reports, labor, and other job-related reports to effectively control costs and maximize profitability.
• Schedule Management - Has a complete working knowledge of project scheduling. Has demonstrated the ability to implement and maintain the project schedule, including development, updating, effectively communicating with the team, and assisting field in management of the schedule.
• Quality Management – Taking an active role in the development and execution of the Project Quality Management Plan, in strict adherence with contract documents.
• Safety Management - Exhibits an unwavering commitment to safety, including taking part in weekly safety meetings and taking preemptive measures to ensure safe work practices.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in similar construction project types
