AlphaGov is seeking a Construction Research Scientist to support research and consulting opportunities involving construction schedules, workforce capacity, labor costs, and project delivery risk. We analyze how delays and limited skilled labor affect costs and completion dates and translate findings into practical recommendations for project leaders and clients.

Formación

• PhD preferred in construction engineering, civil engineering, construction management, operations research, industrial engineering, or related field.
• Experience with construction scheduling, resource allocation, project controls, or construction productivity research.
• Demonstrated experience with quantitative modeling, simulation, optimization, or statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6, critical path scheduling, resource-loaded schedules, or comparable methods.
• Ability to explain technical findings clearly to project leaders and nontechnical decision-makers.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze how project delays change workforce requirements, crew availability, and labor costs.
• Model resource constraints across multiple projects, including crews staying on one project longer than planned.
• Develop and test scheduling, simulation, and forecasting methods using historical project data.
• Evaluate alternatives such as resequencing work, reallocating crews, overtime, and subcontracting.
• Define data requirements, validation methods, and measurable research objectives.
• Contribute technical methods, work plans, and findings to proposals and client deliverables.
