Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Vice President, Construction Scheduler to lead scheduling for large rail transit programs in the Southeast US. You will develop integrated schedules, oversee critical path activities, and collaborate with designers, contractors, and clients to forecast risks and drive timely project delivery.

You will perform time impact analyses, Earned Value reporting, and change management, advising executives on schedule recovery options and delay mitigations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related discipline or equivalent years of construction scheduling experience.
  • 12 years of experience in developing and managing construction schedules for large programs.
  • Experienced with critical path method analysis/technique with Primavera.
  • Project financial forecasting skills.
  • Change Order Analysis, Time Impact Analysis, and Forensic Schedule Analysis.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working within large and challenging Client Programs with one or more project teams.
  • Effective reporting and communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing project reports and documentation.
  • Building Construction and or project management experience
  • Team player and Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert scheduling using critical path method (via Primavera) to support design and construction rail transit projects.
  • Develop integrated program schedules from multiple inputs (designer, contractor, third party).
  • Assess and recommend resolutions for schedule, scope changes or delays to the project team and executives.
  • Coordinate with project teams to assess reporting, identify risk and create accurate forecasts.
  • Develop, update, and analyze detailed execution schedules for multiple projects.
  • Establish baseline schedules: durations, logic, resources, costs, and histograms.
  • Review CPM updates and provide detailed Primavera schedule comparison reports.
  • Perform Earned Value analyses and schedule change management.
  • Conduct time impact analyses to measure potential delays and impacts.
  • Provide recommendations for schedule recovery and run what-if analyses.

WSP is seeking a Vice President, Construction Scheduler to join our Project Controls team in the Southeast US.

Your Impact
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide expert Providing and/or overseeing critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) to support client’s Program including design and construction rail transit projects.
  • Developing integrated program schedules based on input from the various entities including designer, contractor, third party etc.
  • Assess and provide recommendations to resolve schedule, scope changes or delays to the project team and executive management.
  • Coordination with project teams to assess reporting and identify risk and create accurate forecasts.
  • Responsible for developing, updating, and analyzing detailed execution schedules for simultaneous projects
  • Establish baseline schedule: summary and detailed review of baseline durations, logic, resources, costs, cost curves, resource histograms.
  • Review periodic CPM Updates, provide Primavera schedule comparison reports and detailed reviews.
  • Perform Earned Value analysis reports, schedule change management and review of change orders.
  • Perform time impact analyses (TIA) to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays.
  • Provide recommendations for schedule recovery. Recovery schedule reviews and perform what-if scenario analysis.
Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related discipline or equivalent years of construction scheduling experience.
