Job summary

Lexicon, Inc. is seeking a Safety Supervisor to lead site safety programs on a new steel mill construction project in Alabama.

The role reports to the Facilities Safety Manager and is safety-sensitive, requiring proactive leadership to protect workers and the public. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in construction safety, OSHA knowledge, and strong communication skills to coordinate with project teams, management, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably on heavy industrial or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• CHST, STS, or equivalent professional safety credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and audits; identify hazards and ensure timely correction.
• Monitor field operations for OSHA compliance and project safety procedures.
• Develop and implement task-specific Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) with field teams.
• Verify subcontractors follow the EHS plan and conduct joint safety inspections.
• Lead safety trainings and toolbox talks with crews; drive a stop-work culture when needed.
• Maintain safety records and prepare daily/weekly safety reports.
