Job summary

Medcor Safety, a subsidiary of Medcor, seeks a Safety Professional for a short-term project in Sterling, CO. You will identify safety hazards, coordinate with site crews and management, and help implement federal, state, local and client safety requirements on construction activities.

Anticipated start in October; 6 weeks; 50-58 hours per week; $50/hour plus a $980/week per diem. Requires OSHA 30 Construction, CHST, CPR/First Aid, and 5 years of safety experience with strong communication and

Qualifications

• Current CPR / First Aid Card Required.
• OSHA 30 Hour Construction Required.
• CHST Required.
• 5 Years Relevant safety experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive professional relationships while working closely with field personnel, all levels of management and outside agencies during all phases of construction.
• Coordinate and conduct audits of all crews to identify areas for improvement of unsafe work conditions and practices and recognize those for safe work practices.
• Document and communicate site audit information.
• Audit training records of all field personnel.
• Implement all federal, local, and site programs, policies, and procedures.
• Receive, review, and participate with the development of accident briefs, safety-related publications, bulletins, and reports.
• Participate with the development of Site-Specific Safety Plans and kick off/safety meetings
• Review client/owner specific requirements and determine our client complies.
