Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a Safety professional to implement and enforce safety programs across projects in Fort Wayne, IN. The role reports to the Project Manager with guidance from the Safety Manager and may involve travel after project completion.

You will develop accident prevention programs, lead safety training, conduct site inspections, and prepare compliance reports. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BCSP CHST or STSC certification; OSHA 510 is preferred.
• Five+ years of construction safety experience; knowledge of OSHA rules and record keeping.
• Strong administrative, computer, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an accident prevention program and training plan to meet project safety specs and requirements.
• Identify safety work permits and assure compliance with project contract plans.
• Conduct incident/investigation reporting in a timely manner.
• Evaluate results of safety program efforts and determine appropriate actions.
• Oversee and administer the Toolbox Talks program and select topics for timely presentation.
• Participate in loss control programs including injuries, health claims, and equipment damage.
• Enforce company safety policies and participate in special projects.
• Prepare statistical reports and maintain records for reporting/auditing.
