Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a safety professional to implement and enforce safety programs across construction sites. You will report to the Project Manager with guidance from the Safety Manager and may travel to job sites.

The role focuses on accident prevention, incident investigations, OSHA training, and maintaining comprehensive safety records and reports to ensure compliance and protect personnel, equipment, and facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of construction safety experience.
• Knowledge of construction OSHA rules, regulations and record keeping.
• Strong administrative, computer, organization, and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an accident prevention program and training plan to meet project safety specs and requirements.
• Identify safety work permits and assure compliance with project contract plans.
• Conduct incident/investigation reporting in a timely manner.
• Evaluate results of safety program efforts and determine appropriate actions.
• Oversee and administer the Company 'Tool Box Talks' program and select topics.
• Participate in loss control programs and safety training.
• Enforce Company safety policies and procedures and assist with special projects.
• Prepare statistical reports and maintain records for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Handle safety inquiries and prepare correspondence and reports.
• Assist Education Department with safety training, OSHA training and certifications.
• Conduct routine job site safety inspections.
• Liaise with community or external agencies as needed.
• Organize workload to meet deadlines.
• Respond to safety inquiries and provide information.
