Job summary

Fessler & Bowman, Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support our safety team across projects, developing site-specific plans, safety manuals, toolbox talks, and training records.

You will monitor safety processes, prepare reports from Procore, assist with incident investigations, and ensure compliance with OSHA and local standards, with regional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in health and safety
• Background in safety with construction knowledge
• Knowledge of federal, national and local standards (OSHA)

Responsibilities

• Provide regional and project support with site-specific plans, safety manuals, and toolbox talks
• Maintain safety documentation including incidents, logs, training records, and inspections
• Monitor Procore updates and generate safety, incident, and productivity reports
• Create and send regular safety updates to project teams (PMs and Superintendents)
• Support incident reviews and action tracking
