RK Industries in Aurora, CO is hiring a Construction Safety Specialist to support field operations on active projects. You will conduct safety inspections, lead trainings, and investigate incidents to drive safety excellence.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of construction safety experience or related field.

• Assist with substance abuse testing, claims management, and return-to-work processes as needed.
• Support subcontractor and vendor safety compliance on active projects.
• Serve as a trusted safety resource for field personnel and project teams.

Safety Specialists play a critical role in supporting field operations by helping ensure every employee returns home safely. Through jobsite engagement, inspections, training, incident investigations, and coaching, they help build a culture where safety and operational excellence go hand in hand.

At RK Industries, you'll spend most of your time in the field partnering with Superintendents, Foremen, Project Managers, and craft professionals across active construction projects. You'll help identify and eliminate hazards, support compliance, investigate incidents, and reinforce RK's commitment to safety excellence.

What You'll Do

• Conduct jobsite safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with field leadership to promote safe work practices and strengthen safety culture.
• Lead new-hire orientations, jobsite safety meetings, and safety training programs.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries while supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific requirements, and company policies.
• Assist with substance abuse testing, claims management, and return-to-work processes as needed.
• Support subcontractor and vendor safety compliance on active projects.
• Serve as a trusted safety resource for field personnel and project teams.

What You Bring

• 1-3 years of construction safety, HSE, EHS, or occupational safety experience.
• Experience performing onsite safety duties within commercial, industrial, mechanical contracting, manufacturing, or construction environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard identification, incident investigation, and safety compliance practices.
• Strong field presence with the ability to build relationships, influence safe behaviors, and address safety concerns.
• Experience conducting safety training, orientations, and jobsite meetings.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification or willingness to obtain preferred.
