Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Specialist to oversee safety programs across Philadelphia, PA and South Jersey projects. You will lead risk assessments, enforce OSHA 1926 standards, and coach crews on safe practices.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in refinery or petro-chemical safety, OSHA-30, and First Aid/CPR/AED certification, with reliable travel to sites and strong leadership. Join a team that values integrity and professional growth.

• 3+ years of construction safety experience in a Refinery or Petro-chemical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily construction safety / EHS oversight for contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and observations.
• Review JHAs/JSAs, Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), permits, toolbox talks, and safety documentation.
• Coach trades and contractors on OSHA compliance and safe work practices.
• Monitor chemical exposures using a respirator.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses and track corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, client requirements, and site-specific safety programs.

Construction Safety Specialist

Philadelphia, PA and South Jersey Area | Full-Time | CMI

Compliance Management International (CMI) is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist for projects in Philadelphia, PA and South Jersey. This is a long-term career opportunity for a hands-on Safety Professional with strong petro-chemical or refinery, OSHA compliance, and field safety experience.

What You'll Do

• Provide daily construction safety / EHS oversight for contractors and subcontractors
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and observations
• Review JHAs/JSAs, Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), permits, toolbox talks, and safety documentation

Requirements

• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction required
• TWIC, Transportation Worker Identification Credential, card preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED
• Strong hazard recognition, communication, coaching, and field leadership skills
• Reliable transportation to travel to different sites to oversee construction
