Job summary

Compliance Management International is seeking a Construction Safety Specialist to oversee EHS for projects in Philadelphia, PA and South Jersey. The role focuses on hands-on safety management for refinery or petro-chemical environments, with travel to various sites.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of refinery/petrochemical safety experience, OSHA 1926 knowledge, OSHA 30-Hour, and First Aid/CPR/AED. Competitive benefits and long-term opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience in a refinery or petro-chemical setting.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction standards.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED training.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily construction safety/EHS oversight for contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and observations.
• Review JHAs/JSAs, Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), permits, toolbox talks, and safety documentation.
• Coach trades and contractors on OSHA compliance and safe work practices.
• Monitor chemical exposures using a respirator.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses and track corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, client requirements, and site-specific safety programs.

Construction Safety Specialist

Compliance Management International (CMI) is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist for projects in Philadelphia, PA and South Jersey. This is a long‑term career opportunity for a hands‑on Safety Professional with strong petro-chemical or refinery, OSHA compliance, and field safety experience.

What You’ll Do

• Provide daily construction safety / EHS oversight for contractors and subcontractors

• Reliable transportation to travel to different sites to oversee construction
