Job summary

JH Kelly, based in Reno, NV, seeks a Construction Safety Professional to lead EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a proactive safety culture. This contract role may transition into a permanent position after 6 months based on performance, with travel to multiple sites.

You will partner with management and a safety committee to identify hazards, deliver training, investigate incidents, and track safety metrics.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in an EHS role, preferably construction
• OSHA 30-hour, 510, or 500 certification required; CHST or ASP desirable
• First Aid/CPR certification required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental, Health, and Safety programs ensuring regulatory compliance
• Identify hazards with management and safety committee
• Deliver safety training including new-hire orientation and emergency response
• Investigate incidents to determine root causes and preventive actions
• Track safety metrics and prepare reports for management/regulators
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
• Stay current with EHS trends and regulations
