LaBella Associates is seeking a diligent Safety Observer to join our Program Management division to monitor and promote on-site safety across New York State construction projects. You will conduct inspections, train staff, report incidents, and collaborate with client management and labor teams to implement corrective actions, fostering a proactive safety culture.

This role requires 5+ years’ experience, OSHA 30 certification, strong communication, and travel to multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in safety observation or related field in construction.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction certificate required.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on project sites.
• Observe and report on compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Deliver safety training sessions as necessary.
• Participate in safety meetings and briefings.
• Document safety incidents and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to address safety issues proactively.
