Job summary

ATALNT in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Safety Manager to lead a company-wide safety program across commercial projects in Arizona. This full-time, in-person role works with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and leadership to ensure OSHA compliance and a strong safety culture.

The role oversees safety audits, incident investigations, safety training, toolbox talks, and policy development. Travel ~25% and in-person collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• OSHA certifications (510/500/30/10) required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition and incident prevention.
• Proven experience in accident investigations and safety audits.
• Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to travel ~25% in Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Lead and administer the safety program across commercial construction operations.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver OSHA and construction safety training programs.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, Pre-Task Plans and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Monitor PPE, tools, equipment, and jobsite conditions for OSHA compliance.
• Maintain safety records, investigation reports, inspection logs, and regulatory docs.
• Track safety performance metrics and report findings to executives.
• Coach field teams to strengthen safety culture and compliance.
• Recommend updates to policies, procedures, and training.
