Job summary

MMC is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support construction projects and promote a culture of safety excellence. This role serves as a key resource to project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements.

You will lead safety inspections, conduct trainings, oversee pre-task planning and incident investigations, and collaborate with project leadership to improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a General Contractor on large-scale construction projects, preferably data centers.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 construction standards and high-risk activities such as fall protection, electrical safety, crane operations, and confined spaces.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and hazard recognition skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• 3+ years of construction safety management experience and a Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field; or
• 5+ years of construction safety management experience and a professional certification (CSP, ASP, CHST, CIH, or equivalent); or
• 6+ years of construction safety management experience and current OSHA 500 certification.
• All candidates must possess a current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification

Physical & Work Requirements

This position requires a daily field presence on active construction sites, including walking, climbing, working at heights, and exposure to varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and work flexible hours, including overtime, as project needs dictate.
