We are looking for experienced, self‑motivated Construction Safety Managers with demonstrated practical experience representing the Data Center Owner during Data Center construction and renovation. As the owner’s Construction Safety Manager, you will have the opportunity to use your practical experience and knowledge to interpret and apply H&S regulatory requirements and best practices to influence and coach on‑site contractors.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5‑10 years of hands‑on H&S experience in construction and be proficient in the management of high‑risk activities including ground disturbance, electrical safety, confined space, fall protection, cranes and lifts, and material handling. Experience in evaluating and managing sub‑contractors is required. The candidate must also work well in collaborative environments, have strong and confident verbal and written communication skills, be able to work independently, be detail‑oriented, and possess a strong work ethic.

Immediate hiring needs are located in the cities listed below. Additional projects and resourcing needs will continue to grow across other locations throughout the US.

Typical job assignments may include but are not limited to:
  • Developing, writing, and implementing H&S programs and procedures for construction with support as needed from our consulting team.
  • Interfacing with client employees and contractors to ensure safe processes are being followed in full compliance with regulatory and company procedures.
  • Conducting IH monitoring (air sampling and noise monitoring).
  • Conducting health and safety auditing; requires an understanding of federal OSHA and EPA regulations and how they are applied to construction.
  • Conducting assessments of potential health and safety risks of construction activities.
  • Providing technical guidance on high‑risk activities (confined space, fall protection, cranes, lifts, electrical installation, etc.)
  • Developing compliance recommendations based on regulatory understanding and interpretation.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent training and relevant experience in construction safety or EHS will also be considered.
  • The ideal candidate will have 5‑10 years of EHS experience in a construction environment or strong experience in high‑hazard environments.
  • Willingness and availability to travel regionally and/or nationwide.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment that may include non‑traditional work hours.
  • Experience in evaluating and managing sub‑contractors is required.
  • Must have a deep understanding of OSHA regulations and their applicability.
  • Must have working knowledge of and ability to implement electrical safety procedures with an understanding of NFPA 70e and the control of hazardous energy sources.
  • Familiarity with NFPA, DOT, EPA, and health & safety regulations.
  • Additional safety training such as OSHA 10 or 30‑hour for Construction or General Industry, 24‑hour or 40‑hour HAZWOPER is a plus.
  • ASP, CSP, CIH, EIT or ARM certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Potential employees must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, pre‑employment drug screening (as permitted by law), and baseline physical (safety sensitive roles). They must also have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Sedentary to light work (typical office or administrative work).
  • Frequently required to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of low (under 25lbs) to moderate (25‑49lbs) weight objects.
  • Repetitive motions: substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (including reaching).
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change).
  • Operation of a motor vehicle.
Additionally, if you are assigned work in the field at client project sites you will need to complete a medical surveillance/fitness-for-duty examination and maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:
  • Medium to heavy work.
  • Subject to outside environmental conditions: heat/cold, wind, wet and/or humidity, etc.
  • Occasional stooping (bending body downward and forward), kneeling (bending legs at knee), crouching (bending body downward and forward) and climbing.
  • Frequent lifting (including push/pull, hold/carry) of light, moderate and possibly heavy weight objects.
  • Subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, including but not limited to: proximity to moving vehicles, parts or equipment; exposure to chemicals; pressure (including noise); electrical hazards; biological hazards; excavation/trenching; confined spaces; elevated work; materials handling.
  • May be required to wear an air purifying respirator.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $105,000-$145,000. Compensation will vary depending on the applicant’s job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and work experience.
