Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a proactive Safety Officer to lead safety initiatives across active construction projects. The role ensures safety expectations are communicated, enforced, and integrated into daily operations.

You will work with superintendents, foremen, and field crews to foster a strong safety culture and maintain OSHA compliance. Responsibilities include inspections, incident investigations, safety training, and documentation to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction safety.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Experience working on active construction projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify hazards and proactively address safety concerns.
• Valid driver''s license and ability to travel between jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular jobsite inspections and safety audits.
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Reinforce safe work practices through field presence and coaching.
• Promote and reinforce a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.
• Partner with field leadership to drive accountability and consistent safety performance.
• Lead by example and build trust with crews and supervisors.
• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessions.
• Communicate safety updates, requirements, and lessons learned.
• Assist with developing and improving safety procedures and programs.
• Respond to and document incidents, injuries, and near misses.
• Conduct investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate reporting and follow-up actions with leadership and HR.
• Track safety trends and implement preventative strategies.
• Maintain accurate safety records and compliance documentation.
• Support OSHA reporting requirements.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with Superintendents and Foremen to identify risks before work begins.
• Integrate safety planning into daily construction activities.
• Help remove safety-related obstacles while maintaining production goals.
