Job summary

HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on our commercial construction projects in Lake Orion, MI. You’ll lead a culture where safety is a core value and ensure OSHA compliance so every worker goes home safe.

The role requires 7+ years in construction safety, a related degree, and certifications (OSHA 510/500 or BCSP); commissioning experience is required and automotive manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct construction safety experience.
• Automotive Manufacturing construction experience highly preferred.
• Degree in a safety related field preferred.
• OSHA 510, 500, or BCSP certification preferred.
• Commissioning experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance.
• Conduct daily safety meetings.
• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations.
• Daily safety audits and inspections.
• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors.
• Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation.
