Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking a Safety Manager in Lake Orion, MI to lead safety operations on commercial construction projects. You will ensure OSHA compliance, implement best safety practices, and foster a culture where every worker goes home safe.

Qualifications include 7+ years of construction safety experience, a safety-related degree, and relevant certifications. You will conduct daily safety meetings, oversee all subcontractors, and manage fall protection and other safety activities.

• Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance


• Conduct daily safety meetings


• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations


• Daily safety audits and inspections


• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors


• Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct construction safety experience required. Automotive Manufacturing construction experience highly preferred.


• Degree in a safety related field preferred


• OSHA 510, 500, or BCSP certification preferred


• Commissioning experience required


• Advance knowledge ofconstruction safety standards


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required


• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
