Job summary

McGough Construction CO, LLC is seeking a Safety Manager to lead environmental, health and safety on multiple construction sites. You will enforce safety policies, partner with project teams, and mentor onsite staff to ensure a strong safety culture.

Requirements include a four-year degree in safety/engineering, 5+ years of construction safety experience, OSHA 500, First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED, and CSP/ASP within 2 years. Travel to regional sites is required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of building construction safety experience or equivalent education and experience.
• OSHA 500 training.
• First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training.
• Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• ASP or CSP within 2 years of appointment.
• Demonstrated ability to identify known potential exposures and lead corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and enforce safety on multiple construction projects.
• Mentor and coach onsite crew.
• Partner with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents and Foreman.
• Develop and enhance the overall project safety program.
• Provide coverage as needed when other team members are absent.
