Job summary

Kent Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to promote safety culture across our projects in Texas. You will coordinate resources, manage safety programs, and work with field teams to prevent injuries and property damage.

Responsibilities include leading safety events, conducting inspections, reviewing investigations, and enforcing PPE and training programs. A degree or relevant experience, certifications, and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in environmental safety & health or 3-5 years of safety experience in construction.
• OSHA 500, CSMC, or equivalent safety certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update safety rules and SOPs; communicate changes to field teams.
• Lead safety events, stand-downs, and training; participate in safety committees.
• Review investigations; ensure hazards were addressed and corrected.
• Implement Toolbox Talks; create custom talks for incidents or hazards.
• Perform site inspections and document safety hazards and abatement.
• Coordinate workers' comp/auto/property claims on job sites and return-to-work.
• Enforce PPE program; ensure timely safety training and renewals.
• Lead Site Specific Safety Plans and brief project teams; support field safety officers.
